Ayurvedic cooking lessons

Besides individual food advice, it is also possible to learn how to put this knowledge into practice.
Students are taught how to make a nourishing and tasty meal, adapted to the needs of your body, your constitution, or that of your family. Drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts are all discussed. Another aspect of these cooking classes is to learn how to make a kitchari. This is a dish made of basmati rice, mung beans (split yellow lentils) and herbs. In Ayurveda a kitchari is used to remove ama from the body; to maximalize its purifying effects on the digestive system, it is recommended to eat this dish for a three-day period, 2 or 3 times a day. The results are great and a kitchari can be wonderfully delicious. This dish can also be made in many different ways, to suit the individual constitution. You can find an example of such a kitchari in the ‘agenda’ section.
Ayurvedic principles, based on the five elements and six tastes (sweet, salty, sour, bitter, sour and sharp) are very easy to apply when preparing your food, to rebalance your digestive system and in short, to promote health and well-being. I have already spent many years exploring the 'healing' properties of food. Through great extremes, such as macrobiotics, the necessary experiments, trial and error, and Ayurveda as the fundamental base, I found my way of eating with equilibrium, and I really want to share this. Welcome!
